Privacy policy

Cartwright is a grocery planning service. This page describes the personal data the app stores so you can decide whether to create an account and how to delete it.

What we store

When you create an account we keep your name, email address, and a hashed password. After you use the planner we also keep your confirmed ZIP, store selections, household size, trip settings, Kitchen preferences, weekly meals, shopping list, pantry, saved recipes, chat messages, barcode lookups you run, store-support requests, in-app notifications, shopping-list exports you save, shopping-run destinations and checkout notes, Tesla connection state, and encrypted Tesla tokens plus command history when you link a vehicle.

What we do not do

Cartwright does not take card payments and does not sell your personal data. Chat and barcode lookups may be sent to infrastructure we already use to run the product (hosting, database, optional language-model replies, and public product catalogs). Always verify package labels for allergies.

Processors

Accounts and plans live in Neon. The website is hosted on Vercel. Optional features may call OpenAI for chat, TheMealDB for recipes, Open Food Facts and UPCitemdb for packaged products, Kroger for nearby store locations and shelf prices when that integration is enabled (your ZIP and product search terms), Google Maps Platform for ZIP geocoding and nearby grocery discovery when that integration is enabled (never as social login), Tesla Fleet API when you connect a vehicle (OAuth tokens, vehicle identifiers, and destinations you send), and Vercel Blob for saved exports. Weekly-ad ingest is an operator job, not a shopper upload.

Your account

You can sign out or delete your account from Settings → Account while signed in. Deletion removes your account, Tesla tokens, shopping-run history, and the personal plan data listed above. Shared store catalogs and anonymized operator logs that the law requires us to keep are not a substitute for your account.
